Maternity & having a baby
If you’re having a baby, you can get the support and peace of mind you need at our Roseville Women and Children’s Center and our South Sacramento Medical Center.
Our experienced team delivers more than 8,000 new beginnings each year in the Greater Sacramento area. Mothers-to-be benefit from a caring, homelike experience – spacious private rooms equipped with advanced medical equipment, a flat-screen TV, bathroom with a shower, and a fold-out bed for a family member to stay overnight.
Whether you deliver in Roseville or South Sacramento when you’re having a baby, you’ll have access to one of the largest teams of pediatric care specialists in the greater Sacramento area with specialists in fields like oncology, neurosurgery, cardiology, and intensive care. And our Roseville Women and Children’s Center is home to the largest neonatal intensive care unit in Placer County.
At Kaiser Permanente, you’ll find family-centered maternity care in a welcoming, healing environment with access to board-certified lactation consultants and certified nurse midwives who are available 24 hours a day.
Hear from one local mother who enjoyed her birth experience at Kaiser Permanente so much, she can’t imagine giving birth anywhere else.
Center for Reproductive Health
At our highly specialized fertility center, we’ve brought joy to hundreds of families. Each patient receives personalized attention—with a medical team and infertility doctor closely monitoring care throughout the experience. The team is led by Ken Vu, MD, HCLD, voted “Top Fertility Doctor” in Sacramento magazine in 2009. He oversees a highly trained team with more than 40 years’ combined experience in fertility procedures. The senior embryologists in the lab are all recognized and certified by the American Association of Bioanalysts at the level of Technical Supervisor. And the lab was awarded accreditation by the College of American Pathologists for exceeding their standards on more than 600 measures.
