Integrated, compassionate cancer treatment and care
Hearing the word “cancer” from your doctor is scary, and chances are that after the diagnosis is shared, a patient hears very little of what their doctor says next.
At Kaiser Permanente, we understand those emotions and we are here to help patients through every stage of their journey – including additional diagnostics, cancer treatment, post-treatment care, and everything in between.
Our unique, integrated structure allows the team of clinicians to be involved in planning a patient’s cancer treatment and follow up care. We have a collaborative team of cancer care doctors that includes medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, gynecological oncologists, as well as pediatric oncology specialists for our youngest members. These doctors work alongside our surgeons and other specialists in providing you excellent, comprehensive cancer treatment and care.
Cancer program earns full accreditation
The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons has granted three-year accreditation to the cancer programs at our Roseville, Sacramento, and South Sacramento Medical Centers. Each has been designated a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. The Commission on Cancer is dedicated to improving the survival and quality of life for cancer patients through standard setting, prevention, research, education, and the monitoring of comprehensive quality care. We are proud that our cancer program meets or exceeds 12 Eligibility Requirements and 25 Standards for new programs, and maintains a level of excellence in the delivery of comprehensive, patient centered care.
